A shocking incident has come to light from the Bro Panchayat area under the Nirmand Sub-Division of kullu district near Rampur, where a minor schoolgirl studying in Class 10 was allegedly trapped in a love affair and later an attempt was made to abduct her. However, due to prompt action by the police, the girl was safely recovered.
According to the information received, two youths — Mubarik and Shoaib — working at a barber shop in the Bro area, allegedly lured the minor girl into a love trap over the past few months. The accused later hid the girl in a rented room with the help of another woman.

After failing to find her despite searching the entire night, the family lodged a missing complaint with the police on April 8. Acting swiftly, the police launched an investigation, interrogated the suspects, and successfully recovered the girl from a room in the village itself.
DSP Anni, Chandrashekhar Kayath, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of kidnapping and the POCSO Act. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly. The minor girl has undergone a medical examination, and counselling is being provided through the Child Welfare Committee.
