Shimla police on Monday arrested a 46 years old woman drug peddler with a haul of cannabis weighing 1.644kg,sending a message to the government and society that the drug mafia in Himachal Pradesh is spreading its tentacles among the females as well.
We have nabbed a 46 years old drug pedding woman who is a resident of Rohru in Shimla district, possessing 1.644kg of charas. A case has been registered under the NDPS law at Rohru and the police is further probing the matter to reach the depth of the case, said Rohru police.
In Himachal Pradesh drugs consumption and supplies are rising dramatically with involvement of global and local media network, posing threats and challenges to the people of the state and police administration, giving the state a sobriquet of ‘Udta Himachal’.
