The 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) of SJVN successfully organized the 23rd edition of the Vendor Development Meet for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) today.
Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Sharma, along with Project Head (NJHPS) Ashutosh Bahuguna and other distinguished guests from the Corporate Headquarters and various SJVN projects.
In his address, Ajay Kumar Sharma emphasized the crucial role of Vendor Development Meets in fostering an inclusive ecosystem where MSMEs can grow and thrive. He urged vendors to familiarize themselves with government regulations and SJVN’s procurement policies to ensure smooth and transparent participation.
The event featured insightful presentations from MSME representatives, NSIC, National SC/ST Hub MSME, and GeM (Government e-Marketplace) officials, providing valuable information to vendors. Participants also shared their experiences and success stories of working with SJVN.
The meet concluded with an Open Forum, where vendors and stakeholders discussed best practices, procurement challenges, and future strategies while upholding ethical standards.
Senior officials present at the event included Manmeet Gupta, Deputy CVO (Corporate Headquarters), Rajiv Agarwal, Project Head (Sunni Dam HEP), J.S. Nayyar, Project Head (NMHPS), Vikas Marwah, Project Head (Rampur HPS), and Vivek Sharma, Project Head (LHEP-I), among others.
