Shimla, June 28
A herd of over 60 sheep and goats was killed when lightening struck them at Shungchung pasture at the top of famous tourist Manikaran valley in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district on Wednesday evening, said Kullu district administration.
“In this natural disaster the shepherd was also injured and district administration team have left for the place of incident,” said the SDM Prashant Sarkaik.
The entire loss of the animal flock killed in this incident has been estimated about 4 lacs till now, said local administration.
