A building of the Kalbog senior school in Kotkhai tehsil of Shimla district, has been destroyed in a massive morning fire today, informed Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority here.
The blaze has spread to other buildings of the school with dark smoke clouds and flames leaping high in the sky.
Local people are busy helping fighting the fire with firemen.The fire fighting crews of Kotkhai station are dousing the uncontrollable fire and more have been summoned from neighbouring regions Jubbal and Tikkar to help control the monstrous blaze.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and fortunately no student was in the school as fire broke in wee hours of the day, said a witness on the spot.
People of the surroundings villages are feeling hurt and grieved as the devastating blaze has destroyed their institution which groomed many to build their academic careers. Students of the school are left shocked by the fire incident.
