Shimla, April , news views post — Setting an inspiring example of combining fitness with social awareness, the Rotaract Club of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, organized a unique trekking event “High on Hills, Not on Drugs” to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among students.
Held on the scenic route from Marhog to Dhami, the event brought together students, volunteers, and nature enthusiasts with a powerful message — choose fitness over addiction. Under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Vice-Chancellor of HPNLU, the event aimed to foster a culture of wellness, adventure, and mindful living.
Participants embraced the challenge of trekking through the lush Shimla hills, reflecting on the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being as alternatives to substance abuse.
President of the Rotaract Club, Ritik Jinata, along with Secretary Sonia Singh Rana and Project Head Rajat Chaudhary, led the campaign, supported by active members including Stanzin, Abhay, Fuzail, Nipun, Harsh Raj, Niharika, Hia Sanmati, Annanya, Shreya, and Prashansa.
Dr. Hari Chand, Coordinator of the Rotaract Club at HPNLU, played a key role in organizing the event, ensuring that the campaign not only engaged students but also left them with a lasting message — Get high on life, not on drugs.
