Nirmand: Prem Raj Kashyap.
The sacred town of Nirmand, also known as ‘Chhoti Kashi’ and the divine abode of Lord Parshuram and Goddess Ambika, witnessed grand celebrations on the auspicious occasion of Parshuram Jayanti. Devotees gathered in large numbers to participate in the spiritual festivities, which were marked by devotion, rituals, and cultural fervor.
From the early morning hours, the atmosphere at Lord Parshuram’s Kothi was filled with devotion as rituals such as hawan-yagna and devotional singing (bhajan-kirtan) commenced and continued throughout the day. In the evening, a special hawan was performed following the recitation of holy scriptures. Local priests also chanted Lord Parshuram’s mool mantra 31,000 times, adding to the spiritual significance of the event.
The town echoed with devotional songs sung by women, and the spiritual energy was palpable across the region. After the religious ceremonies, devotees were served prasad during a grand community feast (bhandara), which saw enthusiastic participation.
Speaking on the occasion, Temple Committee President and Kardar Pushpendra Sharma said that, like every year, the Parshuram Jayanti celebrations were organized with great zeal and devotion by the temple committee of Goddess Ambika and Lord Parshuram. Throughout the day, a series of religious events took place inside the temple premises, drawing devotees from across the region.
