With Monsoon miseries refusing to decline in Himachal Pradesh, one person died, three others were injured and nine vehicles were washed away in a flash flood triggered by a cloudburst in Kullu’s Kais village in the wee hours of today morning.
‘Kullu’s Kais village saw a tragic death of a person besides injuring three and damaging nine vehicles in a horrific flood caused by a flash flood,” said DSP Rajesh Thakur.
Shimla IMD alerted in a weather forecast on Sunday about the heavy or extremely heavy rains in the state till July 17 and have advised people not to venture near the rivers, lakes and brooks or any other dangerous region in the state.
Monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh leaving 111 people dead and causing cloudbursts, landslides, and floods since it’s beginning on July 24. The state suffered losses worth Rs 4357cr during this monsoon season and the amount is inflating each day with the pouring of the new reports from the field.
