Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy of SJVN, Rampur Hydro Power Station (HPS) is implementing various schemes and programs for the development and health care of women belonging to project-affected panchayats.
As part of SJVN’s Silver Jubilee Women & Child Development Scheme, financial assistance is being provided to women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and their infants for pre-natal and post-natal health care.
Continuing this initiative, Shri Vikas Marwah, Head of Project, Rampur HPS, distributed gift packs of supplementary nutritious food (dry fruits) to 12 women belonging to economically weaker BPL families admitted at Mahatma Gandhi Medical Service Centre, Khaneri. These women are dependent on daily wage labor or agriculture for their livelihood.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Marwah stated that under the proper guidance of SJVN management, the company is committed to supporting women during this crucial phase of their life by ensuring health care, thereby securing the future of both mother and child. He informed that so far, 145 women have benefitted from this scheme.
All department heads of Rampur HPS and representatives from the CSR department were present during the event.
