A minor earthquake measuring 2.5 on Richter scale struck Shimla district today afternoon , shaking land in few places in Himachal Pradesh, confirmed IMD Shimla here today.
“A quake hit Shimla district with epicenter at Dhar Kashauni village in the far off region of Chirgaon tehsil at 2.55 pm today afternoon. In few places in Himachal Pradesh people felt the tremors,” said Shimla IMD.
According to early information received here no damage to life or property was reported from across the state.
