Rampur Bushahr | Special Report by Bisheshar Negi.
In a spiritually charged atmosphere at the Satyanarayan Temple complex in Rampur, Shimla district, a grand Bhagavad Gita Satsang was held under the guidance of globally acclaimed spiritual leader and Geeta scholar, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj.
Addressing a large gathering, Swami Ji voiced strong concerns over religious conversion and the controversial issue of ‘Love Jihad’, calling them threats to India’s cultural unity and spiritual roots.
“Religious conversion is a sign of weakness,” declared Swami Gyananand Ji. “When a person turns away from their own faith in pursuit of superficial attraction to another, they become uprooted from their heritage. Inducing conversion through allurements or deceit is not just unethical, it’s a danger to India’s core identity and oneness.”
Swami Ji emphasized the profound impact of the Bhagavad Gita on character building, stating that, “If children are nurtured with the wisdom of the Gita from a young age, a value-based society and a powerful nation will naturally emerge.”
In a sharp critique of ‘Love Jihad’, Swami Ji described it not merely as a social issue but a form of “cultural infiltration”. He asserted, “Through the use of terrorism and ideological jihad, attempts are being made to create divisions within society. But India is no longer the silent spectator. The country and its armed forces have learned to respond with strength.”
Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Swami Ji remarked, “Gone are the days when India would quietly endure. Today, we stand tall, ready to defend our pride and our culture.”
Viney Sharma, General Secretary of the Satyanarayan Temple Trust, expressed his gratitude for Swami Ji’s presence, saying, “It is a blessing for Rampur to receive the spiritual guidance of a saint who has dedicated his life to spreading the message of the Gita across the world.”
