Torrential Rain and Hail pounded Shimla today with terrific thunderstorm and lightening awfully striking all across the city. This sudden turn in the weather gave respite to the tourists who had glutted the capital city to escape the extreme heat of the summer of the northern plains. Freak rainy weather flooded the roads and alleys in the entire city and strong stormy winds were tossing the towering cidar trees too and fro in the darkness caused by the dark dense clouds hovering in the sky.
