In a strong display of financial performance and commitment to stakeholder value, SJVN – the Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise – has handed over an interim dividend of Rs. 121.33 crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2024-25.
The dividend cheque was formally presented to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu by Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, in Shimla today. Sh. Anirudh Singh, Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, was also present during the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Sharma shared that SJVN has declared a total interim dividend of Rs. 451.93 crore for FY 2024-25. Of this, Rs. 248.55 crore has been disbursed to the Government of India, and Rs. 82.05 crore to public shareholders. The Government of Himachal Pradesh holds 26.85% stake in the company, while the Centre owns 55%, and the rest 18.15% is held by public shareholders.
This dividend payout not only reflects SJVN’s robust financials but also its alignment with shareholder expectations and public welfare.
With a total installed capacity of 2,708.27 MW and a project portfolio of 66,107.4 MW, SJVN is powering ahead with 95 ongoing projects in India and Nepal, across hydro, solar, wind, thermal, and pumped storage sectors.
As part of its ambitious vision, SJVN aims to become a 25,000 MW company by 2030 and scale up to 50,000 MW by 2040, contributing significantly to India’s energy security and sustainable development goals.
