The 1988 batch IAS officer RD Dhiman who was holding the portfolio of power and industry in Himachal Pradesh government has been appointed as the New Chief Secretary replacing Ram Subhag Singh.
Dhiman will be the fifth Chief Secretary of the present Jai Ram Thakur government which took office in December 2017.
All the three senior IAS officers including Ram Subhag Singh, his wife Nisha Singh and Sanjay Gupta have been appointed as advisor to the state government in various departments.
RD Dhiman hails from Himachal Pradesh and is due to retire in the month of December this year.
Ram Subhag Singh is a hot aspirants for the post of Chief Information Commissioner in Himachal Pradesh after loosing the confidence of the present Jai Ram Thakur government before completing his one year term due in the next month.
