Grand Celebration of Parshuram Jayanti Held at Lalasa, the Third Stop Among the Four Established by Lord Parshuram

Badev Dhoom Dham: As per tradition, the Parshuram Jayanti (Mela Char Thahari – Nog Gohdi) was celebrated this year as well, honoring the ancient customs established by Lord Parshuram during the Treta Yuga. This year, the grand event was hosted at Lalasa, the third of the four sacred “Thaharis” (stops).

The procession of Lord Parshuram’s palanquin commenced from the first Thahari, Shaneri, and arrived at Lalasa with divine reverence. Accompanying the deity were Devta Saheb Dhammukh Dunsa, Devta Saheb Jharhunaag Ji from Shaneri, and Devta Saheb Yageshwar Maharaj Ji from Shigla. The host deity, Devta Soub Dognu, warmly welcomed all guest deities at the newly constructed temple premises.

These four Thaharis, originally established by Lord Parshuram, are traditionally inhabited by Brahmin families. The main aim behind organizing this annual festival is to revive and preserve the gradually fading culture of these sacred settlements. The celebration rotates each year among the four Thaharis.

Thousands of devotees participated in the event. Brahmin women sang ancient devotional songs that narrated the glory of Brahma Bhakti and the origins of the Thaharis, creating a divine and mesmerizing experience—especially for the younger generation unfamiliar with such traditions.

The temple committee of Lalasa received widespread appreciation for organizing the event with such grandeur and devotion.
