In the dry cruel summer, rising incidents of forest fires are posing threat to the forest flora and fauna in Himachal Pradesh besides dense smoke clouds creating haphazarly conditions for the moving traffic on the roads.
The fire incident near Taradevi in Shimla district is growing wild with strong winds fanning and fuelling the inferno, sending dark dense smoke clouds up on the National Highway-5, reducing visibility for the motors moving on the road.
The weather is running dry forlast two months, making fallen tree leaves, dry grasses and pine needles inflammable fuel to the fire which is devastating the precious green forest wealth.
This wild forest fire could swallow the houses in the nearby regions if not extinguished timely.
