With the theme “जन औषधि: दाम कम, दवाई उत्तम”, the event saw unprecedented participation, new initiatives, and innovative awareness campaigns across the country.

In a historic move, over 200 new Jan Aushadhi Kendras were inaugurated, taking the total tally to 15,291—a significant step towards expanding the reach of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). More than 50,000 people participated in 350+ events, reflecting a nationwide movement towards affordable healthcare.

A Week of Impactful Initiatives

The celebrations kicked off with a Jan Aushadhi Jan Chetna Abhiyan on March 1, 2025, spreading awareness through health camps, padyatras, and interactive sessions. Highlights of the week included:

Leaders & Citizens Unite for Affordable Healthcare

Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda visited the AIIMS Bilaspur Jan Aushadhi Kendra, engaging with beneficiaries and listening to their experiences. Delhi CM Ms. Rekha Gupta joined celebrations at Ashok Vihar, inspiring more citizens to adopt Jan Aushadhi medicines. Renowned sand artist Padma Shri Sudarshan Patnaik created a stunning sand art at Niladri Beach, Puri, capturing the essence of “Daam Kam, Dawai Uttam.”

Massive Digital & Media Outreach

The campaign reached millions through 1.12 crore digital messages sent to beneficiaries and 7 crore awareness messages through the MyGov portal. Community radio stations at 300 locations amplified the message, ensuring grassroots awareness.

With its largest-ever participation and outreach, the 7th Jan Aushadhi Diwas has set a new benchmark in India’s public healthcare initiatives, making affordable medicines a reality for every citizen.
